I am making curved pieces of wood by the bent lamination method. The first step is to make a form. I started by making a pattern piece from a full scale drawing. There is a positive and negative half of the form. It's set up to make 8 inch curves 3/4 of an inch thick. I am using 1/8 inch laminates. I am not sure you could make a much sharper curve with laminates this thick.

I cut the two parts of the pattern out with the band saw and cleaned them up with a disk sander and a drum sander.
